Southampton have put Gaston Ramirez up for sale following his return to the club from Hull City.

The Uruguay midfielder has spend the season on loan at Hull from Southampton, but was unable to help the Tigers avoid relegation to the Championship.

He is now heading back to Southampton, but has instantly been made available for transfer, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, and is expected to be in demand in Serie A.

Southampton snapped Ramirez up from Italian outfit Bologna in 2012, beating Liverpool to his signature, but following the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino as manager he slipped down the pecking order.

The midfielder joined Hull last summer hoping to clock up regular first team football under Steve Bruce at the KC Stadium.
