Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has placed Manchester United and Liverpool linked striker Luciano Vietto at the top of his summer shopping list, according to Madrid-based daily Marca.
Los Rojiblancos expect Mario Mandzukic to leave the Vicente Calderon this summer and Simeone is looking at a replacement for the Croatian.
At the top of the 2014 La Liga winners' list is none other than Villarreal marksman Vietto, who has turned heads with his performances in the Spanish top flight for the Yellow Submarine.
His agent admitted in March that Liverpool were a potential destination for his client, while Manchester United then sent scouts to check up on the Argentine.
Vietto scored 20 goals in all competitions for Villarreal this season and Simeone wants to be able to call upon his services for Atletico Madrid next term.

The 21-year-old has also sent out a positive message to Simeone, a coach he worked under at his former club Racing.
"Maybe time will reunite us at another club, but if that doesn't happen, I'll always have the fondest memories of working with him", the striker said just last month.
