Juventus are set to step up on their interest in Chelsea target and Augsburg left-back Baba Rahman, it has been claimed.

The 20-year-old Ghanaian has earned rave reviews for his assured performances in the German top flight for Augsburg this season.

In an Augsburg team that finished fifth in the Bundesliga, Rahman was first-choice left-back and a number of top clubs did send their scouts to watch the Ghanaian in action this term.

Premier League champions Chelsea have been on his trail but it emerged last week that Juventus are also taking a closer look in the 20-year-old full-back.

The Bianconeri are ready to press the accelerator in the chase for Rahman and according to Tutto Mercato the club are keen to act on their interest in the Augsburg youngster.

The Bundesliga outfit are rumoured to be willing to let the player go for a transfer fee of around €10m and the Bianconeri are believed to be ready to pay the price.

Rahman has clocked up 31 Bundesliga appearances for Augsburg this season and has also earned eight caps for Ghana.
