Wales national team manager Chris Coleman believes Gareth Bale will stay put at Real Madrid as the club president Florentino Perez has a lot of faith in the forward and he wants to succeed in the Spanish capital.

Bale has endured a difficult campaign at the Santiago Bernabeu after scoring in the finals of the Copa del Rey and the Champions League last season.

In his 48 appearances for Los Blancos this season, Bale has scored 17 times and assisted a further 12 goals for his team-mates, but his contributions have failed to inspire the reigning European champions to any major trophies this term.

They have finished second in the league and crashed out of both the Copa del Rey and the Champions League. The 26-year-old has been whistled at by the Bernabeu faithful for his perceived lack of decisive contributions, leading to speculation about his future.

But his national team manager feels that Bale is determined to weather the storm and make the cut at Real Madrid.
