AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani is adamant that he wants to take Carlo Ancelotti back to the San Siro this summer.

The former AC Milan boss was sacked by Real Madrid on Monday and since then the Rossoneri officials have been camping out in the Spanish capital to convince Ancelotti to return to Italy.

The AC Milan hierarchy want to find an experienced replacement for Filippo Inzaghi and feel that their former boss is the ideal candidate to usher in a new era at the club.

Ancelotti is rumoured to be keen to take a year-long sabbatical from football management but Galliani is desperate to take him back to AC Milan this summer.

The club CEO met Ancelotti yesterday in Madrid and discussed the possibility of him going back to AC Milan. While it seems that they are yet to make a breakthrough, Galliani confirmed that they will continue to negotiate with the former Chelsea boss.
