Celtic will play Spanish outfit Eibar on 18th July in a pre-season friendly.

The friendly will form part of Eibar's 75th anniversary celebrations and will be held at the Spanish club's Ipurua ground.

For Celtic the match will serve as a warm-up for their Champions League qualifying campaign, with the Bhoys desperately hoping to reach the group stage next season.

The Scottish champions follow in the footsteps of Bordeaux, who played Eibar on their 25th anniversary and Ajax, who provided the opposition for their 50th anniversary celebrations.

In 1990, when Ajax took on Eibar, the game ended 1-1 with Dennis Bergkamp scoring the Dutch side's goal.
