Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has batted away questions about Jose Mourinho's speech at Chelsea's end of season awards.

Mourinho suggested that the issue Arsenal have is they only want to play football between January and April, in reference to the Gunners often embarking upon spectacular runs of form when the Premier League and Champions League are out of reach. He jokingly suggested Arsenal asked FIFA to play just between January and April, but were told the August to May calendar stays.

The Chelsea manager has often had spats with Wenger over the course of his time in English football and the Arsenal boss cut a less than amused figure when being asked about Mourinho's speech.

"Forget his speech and get onto something else", Wenger said to a journalist at a press conference this morning.

"I'm not interested in his speech", he added.

Wenger was pressed on Mourinho's January and April comments and replied: "I don't just listen to what people say, I listen to the questions you ask to me, but when I don't want to answer I don't want to answer."

Chelsea steamrollered their way to the Premier League title this season with Wenger's Arsenal finishing in third spot.

However, the Gunners could still end the season with silverware if they can put Aston Villa to the sword in this weekend's FA Cup final at Wembley.
