Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has vowed to finish the season with a treble, saying that winning their two upcoming finals will make this a perfect season.

The Catalan giants have wrapped up La Liga after they wrested the title from Atletico Madrid earlier this month and now they are scheduled to play the final of the Copa del Rey on 30th May. They will also contest the Champions League final against Juventus on 6th June in Berlin.

Unlike their present state, Luis Enrique’s side started the season with a lot of tumult which came to a head at the turn of the year following reports of differences between the manager and Lionel Messi.

Things have completely changed since and the Catalan outfit are staring at a possible treble by the time their season ends. Pique has said that there were meetings in early January and once the team started winning, things cooled down and now he wants his side to end the season on a perfect note by winning the two upcoming finals.

“You could say that we talked, that we vowed to improve, but that wasn't how it was. The team, like all groups, get their confidence from results", he told Marca in an interview.

“From that moment we started to pick up good results and confidence and we understood more what our manager wanted of us.

“There comes a point when you realise that you're storming forward, that you can beat anyone and this is what has ended up winning us the league and putting us in two finals.

“Now we mustn't stop; we have to win the two matches that are left and make it a perfect season.”
