Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom is eager to find a regular spot in the Reds’ first team in the 2015/16 season, having signed a new contract with the Merseyside outfit that will see him at the club until the summer of 2019.

Wisdom spent the current season on loan at West Bromwich Albion and went on to make 24 Premier League appearances for Tony Pulis’ side as they finished 13th in the league standings, having flirted with relegation in the early parts of the season.

The youngster faces significant competition for a place in the Liverpool line-up, but he has said that signing the new contract with the team he joined in 2008 was an easy decision to make and he is determined to force his way into the starting eleven in the 2015/16 campaign.

"Committing my long-term future to Liverpool was an easy decision to make”, he was quoted as saying by his club’s website.

"The club are in my heart and I can't wait to get going again here. I'm already looking forward to pre-season training and linking back up with all the lads.
