Goalkeeper Paul Robinson will not be returning to his first club in football, Leeds United, with the Whites having no interest in snapping up the 35-year-old, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The Whites culled a number of goalkeepers at the end of the season, parting ways with custodians Stuart Taylor, Alex Cairns and Daniel Atkinson.

Leeds are now looking for backup to number one shot-stopper Marco Silvestri and it had been suggested that Robinson was on their radar – but that is not the case.

The 35-year-old is leaving Blackburn Rovers this summer and started his career in the youth ranks at Elland Road.

Leeds sold Robinson to Tottenham Hotspur in 2004, while he then moved on to Blackburn in 2008.
