Real Madrid have issued a statement denying reports that they have made a bid for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba to acquire his services this summer.

Pogba has been one of the highly sought after players this summer after his outstanding displays with the Old Lady in the last three seasons and Spanish outfits Real Madrid and Barcelona have been reported to be front runners to acquire the Frenchman.




Premier League outfits Manchester City and Manchester United as well as French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with a move for the midfielder.

Pogba missed Juventus’ first leg of the Champions League semi-final clash against Real Madrid earlier this month, but he gave a midfield mastercalss in the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu as the Spanish giants exited the tournament.
 


And the Madrid-based outfit have been linked with a move for the Frenchman, but they have issued an official statement denying making any such overtures.

“Real Madrid has not had any contact with either Juventus or the representative of the player, so information published in the La Stampa newspaper is absolutely false”, read the statement.

Pogba has made 39 appearances in all competitions this term, scoring as well as assisting ten goals each.

He will look to help Juventus secure their third European Cup when they play Barcelona in the final in Berlin on 6th June.
