Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho feels that it will be very hard for the Blues to defend the league title they won this season, adding that his team will look to do better than their round of 16 exit in the Champions League.

Mourinho’s men won the league with four games to spare following their 3-1 defeat of Leicester City on 29th April which gave them an unassailable lead in the table.

The Portuguese, who took charge of the club at the start of the 2013/14 season and is in his second stint with the Blues following his first spell that lasted from 2004 until 2007, feels that defending their league title will be no mean task as their competitors will look to strengthen over the summer and challenge them next term.

“It’s very difficult to win back-to-back titles”, he was quoted as saying by his club’s site.

“We know all the big clubs – Liverpool, Tottenham, Man United, Man City and Arsenal – are not happy and they will try to react, so obviously we need to be better next season than we were this season.
