Galatasaray are close to agreeing a deal with Arsenal to sign on loan Inter Milan forward Lukas Podolski in the summer.

The German international joined the Nerazzurri on loan from Arsenal in the January transfer window but has failed to settle down at his new club.

With only one goal from 16 Serie A appearances, Inter Milan are not likely to tie him down on a permanent deal and Roberto Mancini has said that the German himself wants to return to Arsenal in the summer.

A lack of opportunities at the Emirates forced Podolski to join Inter in January and it is believed he is highly unlikely to get too many opportunities next season at Arsenal in the presence Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck.

However, despite his below par showing the 29-year-old still has takers in the transfer market and according to Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, Galatasaray are closing in on the German forward.
