Wolfsburg playmaker Kevin De Bruyne has stressed that he won’t return to Chelsea as long as Jose Mourinho is at the helm.

Mourinho afforded very little opportunities to the Belgian youngster before he was shipped out to Wolfsburg in the January transfer window last year.

In Germany, the 23-year-old has developed into one of the most sought after young playmakers in world football and a number of top clubs across Europe are vying for his signature.

Chelsea’s rivals Manchester United and Manchester City are eyeing making a move for De Bruyne in the summer and he stressed that he is not wary of returning to England.

However, the Belgian playmaker insisted that a return to Chelsea is out of question as long as Mourinho is in charge of affairs at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking to Sport Bild, De Bruyne said: “I am not afraid of returning to England or moving to Spain.

“But as long as Mourinho is there, I won’t return to Chelsea.”

With 28 assists and 15 goals in 50 appearances in all competitions this season, De Bruyne is expected to be a hot property in the summer transfer window.
