Juventus would only consider selling Arsenal and Liverpool linked midfielder Arturo Vidal this summer if they receive a bid of around €40m, it has been claimed.

The Chilean was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United last summer but he stayed put at Juventus and played a major role in their success in Italy and Europe this season.

However, with the transfer window approaching, Vidal’s future in Turin has again come under the scanner and he is again being linked to a move to England, but with Arsenal and Liverpool tipped as being keen.

Though he stopped short of admitting his interest in the midfielder, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admitted yesterday that he admires Vidal, leading to another round of furious speculation. Liverpool meanwhile are searching for a successor to Steven Gerrard.

Vidal has said that he wants to stay with the Italian champions and the club are also not too keen to sell the player this summer unless they receive an offer they can’t refuse.

According to Tuttosport, the idea of selling Vidal will reappear in Juventus’ thinking if any of his suitors decided to place a bid of around €40m on their table.

Arsenal and Liverpool have the financial muscle to meet that price and Manchester United are also believed to be in the market to sign a top class midfielder this summer, though it remains to be seen whether they will rekindle their interest in Vidal.
