Celtic forward Leigh Griffiths has picked his two league hat-tricks as the highlight of his season.

Griffiths struggled to get regular playing time under Ronny Deila in the early parts of the season, but since the turn of the year, he reclaimed his place back in the first team.

Celtic wrapped up the season with the Premiership title and the League Cup.

Griffiths played a big part in Celtic’s triumph as he scored 20 goals and assisted his team-mates with a further three goals.

The 24-year-old scored two hat-tricks in the campaign, the first of which came in a 4-1 defeat of Kilmarnock on 15th April and he scored all three 11 days later in a 3-0 defeat of Dundee United. He counts the hat-tricks as the highlight of his season.

“A highlight of the season for me would be my two hat-tricks but the whole season for the boys has been magnificent”, he was quoted as saying by his club’s site.

Celtic’s title triumph was their fourth in a row and Griffiths will hope to play a stellar role in securing their fifth straight title next season.

“It’s brilliant to have won four in a row and to go for five next season.”
