Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny has said that he is akin to Cristiano Ronaldo as he works hard on a daily basis in order to improve his game, just like the Portuguese superstar does.

Koscielny has become a defensive mainstay at Arsenal since he joined the club in the summer of 2010 from French side Lorient.

This season, the defender has contributed three goals from his 38 appearances in all competitions to help the Gunners finish third in the Premier League and reach the final of the FA Cup, which they are due to play tomorrow against Tim Sherwood’s Aston Villa.

Ronaldo, former Manchester United forward, and currently a prolific goalscorer at Real Madrid has won the Ballon d’Or for the last two successive years. He is renowned for his dedication and work he puts into his game, day in day out, in training.

And Koscielny feels that he is similar to the Portuguese marksman in the way he gives his all in order to improve himself.
