Valenciennes are expecting an offer of €450,000 from Manchester United to drop on their mat for young defender Dayot Upamecano.

The 16-year-old came close to joining the Red Devils in the winter transfer window, but was eventually persuaded to stay put in his native France.

However, Upamecano has already reached an agreement on personal terms with the Premier League club and Valenciennes appear to be fighting a losing battle to keep him.

According to L'Equipe, Manchester United are putting the finishing touches to an offer of €450,000 for the centre-back.
