Manchester United will not oppose Liverpool in the race for Southampton full-back Nathaniel Clyne, according to ITV.

Liverpool have just seen a bid of £10m for the defender knocked back by Southampton, who are still hoping to keep hold of the 24-year-old.

Brendan Rodgers spent around £50m to sign Dejan Lovren, Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert from Southampton last summer and now wants to raid St. Mary's again.

And in his push to grab Clyne he will not be opposed by Manchester United, who have dropped their interest in the full-back.

Manchester United, who are in the market for a right-back, have now decided to look at other options.
