Jason Denayer wants to be given a chance to show what he can do with Manchester City in the summer, otherwise he will be forced to look at other solutions.

The Belgian defender has just spent the season on loan at Scottish giants Celtic, helping the Bhoys to win the Premiership title and the League Cup and winning plaudits for his performances.

Celtic have been keen for Denayer to remain in Glasgow, but the defender has his heart set on carving out a spot at Manchester City and will bid to impress the Citizens over the summer.

"I will start with pre-season preparations with City", he told RTBF.

"Then we'll see. I obviously want to have a chance to play", Denayer continued.

"If I receive no guarantees then we'll find a solution."

Denayer is expected to be in action for Belgium next month, with the Red Devils due to take on France on 7th June and Wales on 12th June.

The defender will aim to put in two solid displays to further his case as a first team squad member at the Etihad Stadium in 2015/16, while Celtic are sure to be watching his situation closely.
