Crystal Palace have seen an effort to sign Sampdoria hitman Eder knocked back, with the player himself not convinced about a move to Selhurst Park.

Alan Pardew is currently in the midst of seeking to bolster his Palace squad after leading the Eagles to a finish of tenth in the Premier League.

The former Newcastle United manager has been impressed with Eder's exploits at Sampdoria and came forward with a bid to take him to Palace.

However, according to Sky Italia, the 28-year-old striker was not convinced about moving to the Eagles and knocked back the offer.

Eder now looks set to remain with Sampdoria for the time being, although his performances in Serie A have not gone unnoticed.
