Nicolas Gaitan has refused to confirm that Benfica's recent Portuguese League Cup victory was his final game for the club ahead of a move to Manchester United.

It has been claimed that Gaitan is on his way to Old Trafford from Benfica, with the deal 80 per cent complete. However, there have also been suggestions Liverpool are looking to beat Manchester United to the Argentine's signature.

For Gaitan, talk of a move to Manchester United is all too familiar and he insists no one has spoken to him about a switch away from the Estadio da Luz.

"For now, yes", he was quoted as saying by O Jogo, when asked if the League Cup final was his final game for Benfica.

"They were speaking about Manchester United five years ago, but I'm still here", Gaitan continued.

"No one spoke to me.

"I am happy at Benfica."

Gaitan has consistently been linked with leaving Benfica in recent years, but has always remained true to the Portuguese giants, a club he joined in 2010 from Boca Juniors.

And the midfielder has enjoyed much success in Lisbon, picking up two Primeira Liga titles, one Portuguese Cup and four Portuguese League Cups, along with reaching the final of the Europa League twice.
