Real Madrid have so far only received requests for two players this summer: forward Gareth Bale and defender Raphael Varane.

Los Blancos are expected to strengthen over the summer transfer window as they seek to respond to Barcelona winning La Liga and the Copa del Rey, while the Catalans could complete a treble at the weekend by adding the Champions League.

While all eyes are on incoming players at the Bernabeu, Real Madrid are also expected to usher several stars out of the door as they ring the changes.

According to Spanish TV programme El Chiringuito, Los Blancos have only fielded requests for Bale and Varane so far.

Bale has been consistently linked with moving to Manchester United following a difficult second season in Spanish football, during which time the crowd have been critical of his play.

Defensive starlet Varane meanwhile is mooted to be a key target for Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, who took him to Real Madrid during his time in charge at the Bernabeu.

No sales are likely to be made however before the club appoint their new coach, with Rafael Benitez set to be given the role on an official basis tomorrow.
