The agent of Pescara midfielder Birkir Bjarnason does not want to be drawn on his client being linked with Leeds United.

Bjarnason is about to help Pescara try to win promotion to Serie A – his side are in the Serie B playoff final – and has been mooted as a target for the Whites.

The Iceland international is out of contract in the summer, something which makes him an even more attractive proposition for Leeds owner Massimo Cellino. He also turned out for Norwegian club Viking during the time that new Leeds boss Uwe Rosler was in charge.

But Bjarnason's agent is not being drawn on whether there is genuine substance behind his client being linked with a switch to Elland Road.

Bjarnason's agent Jim Solbakken was quoted as saying by the Yorkshire Evening Post: "On that [Leeds’ interest] I cannot comment."
