Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has said that he is happy at the Vicente Calderon and intends to stay in Spain despite interest from newly-crowned Premier League champions Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

Griezmann joined Diego Simeone’s side last summer and went on to enjoy a successful season in the Spanish capital. He scored 22 times and provided his team-mates with three assists to help Los Rojiblancos finish third in the league and reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

His prolific goal return has seen Chelsea and Bayern Munich interested in securing his transfer this summer. The Blues acquired Filipe Luis and Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid last summer, but the Frenchman has said that he feels happy in Spain and has no intention of moving clubs for a second successive year.

“I'm happy at Atletico, I just arrived and I'm not a player who moves after the first year”, he told Marca in an interview.

“I still need to learn and know that I can do it here and get very far at Atletico. I wish I do it.”

Asked specifically about the interest from Chelsea and Bayern Munich, the 24-year-old said there is nothing substantial and the reported interest is nothing more than rumours.

“I do not know if that is true or not because they are rumours.

“I am happy at Atletico and will be because I've done well.”
