Aston Villa, PSV Eindhoven and Liverpool are all said to be battling to take young defender Luca Pellegrini from Italian side Roma.

Just 16 years old, the left back has not yet penned a contract with Roma and is considering moving abroad to further his footballing education.

He has joined forces with super agent Mino Raiola, who recently moved another Roma talent away from Italy when he guided powerful striker Gianluca Scamacca to PSV earlier this season.

Now Raiola may repeat the trick with Italy Under-16 international Pellegrini.

PSV are again in the hunt for another Italian talent in the shape of Pellegrini, but they face heavyweight opposition.

According to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, English giants Aston Villa and Liverpool are alive to Pellegrini's talents and hoping to tempt him to England.

With Raiola managing the defender's affairs, interested clubs may have to place a lucrative deal in front of the 16-year-old to win the race for his signature.
