Manchester United midfielder Daley Blind is all praise for his Dutch team-mate Memphis Depay who he feels has the confidence and hunger to get better in the future.

The Red Devils blew away competition from Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain last month to agree a £23m deal with PSV for the transfer of the Netherlands winger.

Depay was the top scorer in the just concluded Eredivisie season and played an important role in PSV winning the Dutch league title after seven years.

Blind, who played against Depay when he was at Ajax, feels the 21-year-old is a match winner who can change the course of a game with a brilliant piece of play.

He also added that the winger is prepared to work hard to get better and is extremely confident about his own ability which should help him to succeed at Manchester United.

“He is a player who can change games”, Blind told the club’s official website.

“He has a great free-kick, a great dribble, a great shot. He’s young, talented and always wants to work hard. He always wants to better himself on the training pitch, that’s how I know him.

“I think he is quiet, but if he has something to say he will, if you know what I mean! Yes, he is very confident, but he is a good guy.”

Depay and Blind are currently together with the Dutch national team set-up as they prepare for Friday’s friendly against the USA followed by a European Championship qualifying match against Latvia on 12th June.
