Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini has put an offer to Chelsea for winger Juan Cuadrado, which involves the Colombian initially moving to Italy on loan.

Chelsea only signed Cuadrado from Fiorentina in the winter transfer window, paying La Viola a fee of around €31m to snap up the winger.

But Cuadrado has struggled to adapt to English football and is believed to be keen to cut his losses and head back to the familiar stomping ground of Serie A, while Blues boss Jose Mourinho is also unconvinced by his qualities.

Roma are pushing to sign the former Fiorentina man and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, have offered Chelsea a deal for the winger.

The Giallorossi want to take Cuadrado on loan for next season, with an option to then make the move permanent for a fee of €25m; they would pay Chelsea €2m for the loan.
