Nigeria winger Moses Simon says that Liverpool are amongst the clubs interested in snapping him up, but he is planning on remaining with current club Gent for at least one further season.

Gent only pounced to snap up Simon from Slovenian side AS Trencin in the winter transfer window this year, but he instantly made a big splash in Belgium and caught the eye of several elite clubs.

The Belgian side rate the winger highly and have slapped a €20m asking price on his head, arguing that such a sum is not excessive considering English clubs want the Nigerian.

And Simon himself has now lifted the lid on the clubs interested in snapping him up, though has told them he must stay for a further year in Belgium.

He told AfricanFootball: "Fenerbahce, Dortmund and Liverpool are among the clubs who are interested in me.

"But I prefer to stay for at least one more season with Gent before deciding what I will do.

"I still have three years left on my contract with Gent, but the German and the English leagues could interest me in the future", Simon added.

Gent won the Belgian league title this season and as a result are looking ahead to a campaign in the Champions League in 2015/16.

And 19-year-old Simon is relishing the chance to rub shoulders with Europe's elite, something which could increase his standing still further.

"We are already focused on the Champions League, which we're in through our title.

"It is a big step for us and we will give ourselves fully to the competition."

In 17 appearances in the Belgian top flight this season, Moses scored seven goals and provided his team-mates with four assists.
