Manchester United have made contact with Inter over goalkeeper Samir Handanovic.

Inter are in talks with Handanovic over increasing the length of his contract, which is scheduled to run out in June next year.

Talks have been complex and slow moving however, while now there is a further factor which may make discussions tough for the Nerazzurri, as Manchester United sniff around the shot-stopper.

According to Sky Italia, Manchester United have made contact over Handanovic, lodging their interest in the Slovenia international.

The English giants are looking at options in the event that they lose David de Gea this summer; the Spaniard is being chased by Real Madrid.
