Russian outfit CSKA Moscow are plotting a deal for Liverpool target and Real Madrid winger Denis Cheryshev.

Starting his career at Sporting Gijon, the Russian joined the Real Madrid academy in 2002 and has spent time on loan at Sevilla and more recently, at Villarreal.

With ten assists and four goals in 26 La Liga appearances for Villarreal this season, Cheryshev is set to return to Real Madrid with his reputation enhanced and a number of top clubs have been monitoring his progress.

English giants Liverpool are also on the trail of the 24-year-old and with more than two years left on his deal, it has been claimed he could be available for a fee of around €15m to €20m.

However, Liverpool are not the only club after his signature as according to Russian daily Izvestia, CSKA Moscow are now on his trail and they have already contacted the Real Madrid hierarchy to express their interest in Cheryshev.
