Wesley Sneijder has encouraged Galatasaray to pull out all the stops to sign his international team-mate Robin van Persie – and the Turkish side have a lucrative offer for the Manchester United striker.

Van Persie's future at Old Trafford is unclear, with just a year left on his contract and no sign of an extension on the horizon yet.

Sneijder has, according to Dutch outlet Soccer News, convinced Galatasaray to push hard to take Van Persie to Istanbul this summer.

And the Turkish Super Lig champions are willing to pay Van Persie around €13m over the course of a three-year contract if he makes the move.

Sneijder is desperate for his Oranje team-mate to join him at Galatasaray next season, believing he could give the side an extra push in the Champions League.

Van Persie has other Turkish suitors however as Fenerbahce are also interested in the former Arsenal hitman.

He has had interest too from Italy, where Juventus are watching developments at Old Trafford closely.
