Manchester United target Roberto Firmino’s agent has confirmed that the Brazilian will move to England in the summer, something which suggests he is on his way to Manchester United.

It has been claimed that the 23-year-old playmaker is set to move to Manchester United this summer from Hoffenheim and a transfer fee of around €30m has been mooted.

The link with Manchester United became prominent when the club’s chief scout was spotted with the player’s agent at one of Hoffenheim's games earlier in the year.

And Roger Wittmann, his agent, confirmed that his client is expected to join a Premier League side this summer.

Wittmann was quoted by DPA as having told German daily Bild: “I can only say that he will move to England.”

While there are a number of clubs who have been mooted to be his next destination, Manchester United’s interest in the Brazilian is believed to be more concrete.

The 23-year-old clocked up 36 appearances in all competitions for Hoffenheim this season, scoring ten goals and providing 12 assists.

Firmino, whose contract with the Bundesliga outfit expires in 2017, came on as a substitute after the break in Brazil’s 2-1 win over Peru last night in the Copa America.
