Leeds United will not rush into transfer deals this summer and only want the right players for the right price, executive director Adam Pearson has insisted.

Already this summer the Yorkshire giants have announced two signings, with young goalkeeper Charlie Horton arriving from Cardiff City and striker Lee Erwin landing from Scottish side Motherwell.

Leeds are also thought to have agreed a permanent deal with defender Sol Bamba, who spent the second half of last season on loan at the club from Palermo.

Pearson admits Leeds are eyeing further additions, but while he would like them to be signed as soon as possible, he is not prepared to rush the process and pay over the odds.

He told LUTV: "Everybody knows we need three, four, five key signings and the positions which they are needed in. It's not rocket science.

"They've got to be the right players. I'd prefer to do it slower and get the players right because we're never going to have a better opportunity to build a team than this.

"Ideally you do want them here as early as possible, but I'd rather have the right players at the right price than rush it just for the sake of squad filling.

"We're all in place off the pitch, on the pitch we need some more players definitely, to finish it off and give it some Championship know-how."

Leeds have also been active off the pitch this summer with a string of key backroom appointments. Headlining the additions is Uwe Rosler, brought in as head coach to succeed Neil Redfearn.
