Swansea City striker Nelson Oliveira is set to continue his loan stint from Benfica next season, according to Portuguese daily O Jogo.

Oliveira joined the Welsh outfit in January this year and he registered a goal and an assist each for the Swans as they ended their league campaign with their highest ever points tally.

Benfica have replaced Jorge Jesus with Rui Vitoria at the helm, but that hasn’t changed the striker’s immediate future and he is set to continue at the Liberty Stadium next season.

Swansea sold their leading marksman Wilfried Bony to Manchester City in the last winter transfer window and the goalscoring duties were shared by Bafetimbi Gomis and Oliveira following the Ivorian’s departure.

Manager Garry Monk led the Welsh side to an eighth place finish, and he will attempt to help the side qualify for the Europa League next season.
