Saint-Etienne forward Max Gradel has made clear that he is unwilling to sign for Russian Premier League side Lokomotiv Moscow.

The former Leeds United star scored 17 goals in Ligue 1 for Saint-Etienne last season and has emerged as a target for a number of clubs as a result.

Saint-Etienne are not keen on selling Gradel and have slapped a €10m asking price on his head. According to French outlet Eurosport, Lokomotiv Moscow came forward with a bid of €7.5m.

But before Les Verts had had chance to even open talks with Lokomotiv Moscow, Gradel made clear he has no intention of joining the Russian side.

Lokomotiv Moscow now look unlikely to meet with success in their attempts to sign Gradel, even if they can reach an agreement with Saint-Etienne.
