Barcelona defender Adriano Correia’s agent Paulo Affonso Neves has said that his client is no hurry to decide upon his future and will wait until the impending presidential election at the club before charting his future.

Adriano joined Barcelona in 2010 under then manager Pep Guardiola from Sevilla and has gone on to play 170 matches for the Catalan giants over the course of his five years at the club.

However, he has been playing second fiddle to the first choice left-back Jordi Alba under manager Luis Enrique. Last season, he was reduced to 27 appearances in all competitions.

Earlier this month, Neves had revealed that his client is seeking pastures new in search of regular first team action.

Liverpool have been linked with the Brazilian as the Reds seek to strengthen their side and challenge for a top four spot next season.

However, Adriano’s agent has revealed that any decision regarding his client’s career will be taken after the impending presidential elections at Barcelona.

“He has given great performances whenever he has played”, Neves told Radio Barcelona.

“He is a great professional and a good person.

“I think if Adriano has to be a third option, he better look for a way out, but we are in no hurry.”
