Fluminense have sold striker Kenedy, who is heading to join Chelsea for a fee of £6.3m, according to Brazilian daily Globo Esporte.

The 19-year-old is signing on the dotted line with the Blues to secure his future at Stamford Bridge, but it remains to be seen whether he will instantly slot into Chelsea's first team.

Fluminense have officially confirmed that Kenedy has been sold, but the Brazilian outfit have not commented on his destination.

The striker's economic rights have been split between several parties, not an unusual practice in Brazilian football.

A highly rated striker, Kenedy has been part of Fluminense's first team squad since 2013.

Chelsea will hope to have plucked a real gem from Brazil in the form of the 19-year-old.

The hitman is linking up with a team which eased to the Premier League title last season.
