Roma are considering Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko and Everton forward Romelu Lukaku in case their quest to sign Carlos Bacca falls through, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Giallorossi’s sporting director Walter Sabatini acknowledged yesterday that his club want to bring Bacca to Rome this summer.

However, Sevilla are keeping a no nonsense stance on their prolific marksman and the club’s sporting director clarified yesterday that they will not entertain bids below the Colombian’s buy-out clause, which is believed to be in the range of €30m.

In the prevailing circumstances, Roma are considering other options to bring to the Stadio Olimpico for the coming season.

They are considering a move for Manchester City striker Dzeko, whose first team appearances for the Citizens have lessened since they acquired Wilfried Bony earlier this year.

Lukaku, who completed a permanent move to Everton last summer after a season-long loan deal with the Toffees in the season prior, is another option that Roma are considering.

Rudi Garcia’s side have finished second behind Juventus for the last two seasons in the league standings.

He is keen to add more firepower up front to wrest the Scudetto from the Old Lady.
