Adryan believes that thanks to his time at Leeds United last season he is well prepared to succeed at French Ligue 1 side Nantes.

The Brazilian midfielder was on loan at Leeds last season from Flamengo, but despite flashes of brilliance did not do enough to convince the Whites to make his move a permanent one.

Leeds were Adryan's second European club after a similar loan stint in Italy at Cagliari.

Now he has penned another season-long loan, this time at Nantes, while the French club will also have an option to make his move permanent if he impresses.

And Adryan feels his experiences in Italy and England have made sure he arrives in France in the best possible shape to succeed.

"I've learned a lot at Leeds and at Cagliari", he explained to the French club's site.

"I have more experience and I'm better equipped for what is to come", Adryan added.

Just 20 years old, Adryan was schooled in the youth ranks at Flamengo and has been capped by Brazil at numerous youth levels, most recently representing the Selecao at Under-20 level.

He made 13 appearances for Leeds last term, providing his team-mates with two assists.
