Fiorentina director Vincenzo Guerini believes that Mohamed Salah will accept the offer made to him to stay with La Viola, explaining that if he does not, then it is better he does not remain with the Italian club.

Salah linked up with Fiorentina from Chelsea on loan in the winter transfer window and La Viola are desperate to extend his stay into next term.

His performances for Fiorentina have seen a number of clubs take a keen interest in the Egyptian, but the Serie A side are doing all they can to keep Salah.

Guerini was quoted as saying by beIN Sport: "I tell the fans that the club has made an insane offer to Salah.

"If any player, not just Salah, turned down a proposal like that, then it's best he doesn't stay at Fiorentina. However, I think Salah will accept", the director added.

"He made a huge impact with us, so it's normal that he should receive calls from elsewhere. He wants to earn more, but Fiorentina made a truly important proposal."

Salah scored six goals for Fiorentina in Serie A over the course of his loan stint, while he also made an impact for La Viola in the Europa League, impressing all at the Italian outfit.

The winger scored a decisive goal as Fiorentina knocked Tottenham Hotspur out of the European competition, but his continued stay was placed into doubt following the sacking of coach Vincenzo Montella.
