Ilkay Gundogan is snubbing solid interest from Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain to extend his contract with Borussia Dortmund, according to German magazine Kicker.

It emerged last night that Gundogan has told Dortmund he will pen an extension to his current deal, which expires next summer.

Gundogan had initially informed Dortmund he would not sign a new contract and would like to be sold this summer.

But he has performed a U-turn and is now looking for an extended deal.

And Gundogan was not without options, with both Manchester United and PSG keen on signing him this summer.

It was even claimed at the end of last month that Gundogan had agreed personal terms with Manchester United and was committed to a move to Old Trafford.

However, Dortmund continued to hope that the midfielder would have a change of heart and opt to remain at the club for the start of the Thomas Tuchel era.
