Atletico Madrid winger Arda Turan has waded into the transfer talk surrounding him, dubbing stories doing the rounds at present "not entirely correct".

The player's agent has made clear his client wants to move on from Atletico Madrid this summer in search of a new challenge, while Turan is also thought to have informed Los Rojiblancos of his desire.

England's Premier League has been mooted as the most likely destination for the Turkey international to move to and he has already been linked with Louis van Gaal's Manchester United.

He has been the subject of fierce transfer speculation linking him with a number of other clubs and has now had his say, while promising to keep fans up to date if a deal does materialise.

Turan took to Twitter to write: "The transfer rumors are not entirely correct.
