David de Gea is concerned about his potential departure from Manchester United being wrapped up in the Red Devils' bid to sign Sergio Ramos from Real Madrid.

The Spanish goalkeeper has just one year left on his contract with Manchester United and is wanted at the Bernabeu by Real Madrid.

The Spanish side have been in the driving seat, but have recently been put on the back-foot due to Ramos' unhappiness and Manchester United's attempt to include the defender in any deal which takes De Gea to the Bernabeu.

And according to Spanish TV programme El Chiringuito, De Gea is growing concerned with such a situation.

The goalkeeper does not want his fate wrapped up in that of Ramos, especially as Real Madrid want to keep hold of the defender.

Indeed, new Real Madrid coach Rafael Benitez is desperate to ensure that Ramos does not leave the club this summer, viewing him as a leader in the side.

Real Madrid meanwhile remain determined to sign De Gea, but so far have been unable to reach an agreement with Manchester United for the former Atletico Madrid custodian.
