Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas’ agent Carlo Cutropia has talked up AS Roma amidst reports of the Serie A giants being interested in signing his client.

Casillas endured a difficult season in the Real Madrid goal last term as Los Blancos finished their campaign without major silverware. The veteran goalkeeper was often singled out for criticism by the Santiago Bernabeu faithful whenever the going got tough for his side.

The Spanish capital outfit have been heavily linked with a move for Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea, who is expected to be manager Rafael Benitez first choice custodian if the deal goes through.

In the prevailing circumstances, Casillas has been linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu in search of regular first team action and Roma have reportedly been interested in the Spain national team captain.

Cutropia has talked up the Italian side, saying that his client is honoured by being linked with the Giallorossi.
