Manchester United linked Bastian Schweinsteiger has indicated that he will remain at Bayern Munich beyond the summer.

The Germany captain has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer and there has been speculation that he is prepared to leave his boyhood club.

Louis van Gaal is claimed to be keen to explore the opportunity of signing the 30-year-old midfielder and is reportedly preparing a bid for him.

However, Bayern Munich have made it clear that they will only sell Schweinsteiger if the player himself wants to leave the club this summer.

Despite all the rumours circling around his future at the Allianz Arena, the midfielder has been calm about the situation and he has indicated that he wants to stay at the club.
