Arsenal’s latest acquisition Petr Cech is excited to join the Gunners and feels that the team have enormous potential.

Cech dropped below Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge last season and was keen on leaving the Blues in search of regular first team action.




The Czech Republic international was bent on a move to Arsenal in a bid to ensure that his family continue to reside in London and he finally secured his desired transfer.

The veteran custodian feels that it is exciting time for the Gunners as the team have enormous potential.
 


“It is [an exciting time] because you could see clearly that this team has a big potential”, the 33-year-old told Arsenal Player.

And Cech is delighted with the array of talented players in Arsenal’s ranks.

“Especially in 2015, the team had a very good run and you can see how many talented players came through and played really well.”

Cech is likely to be the first choice custodian at the Emirates Stadium when next season kicks off in August.
