Arturo Vidal's agent has tackled talk that his client is on the way to Arsenal this summer.

Speculation has swirled surrounding the Chile international and a switch to the Emirates Stadium this summer. It has even been suggested that Juventus have all but concluded the deal and Vidal to Arsenal is 90 per cent complete.

But the midfielder's agent has rubbished talk that his client is about to become Arsene Wenger's latest signing for the Gunners.

Indeed, Fernando Felicevich says that there has simply been no contact between Arsenal and himself.

Questioned about Vidal moving to Arsenal, the agent was quoted as saying by French outlet Eurosport: "There has never been any contact between them and us."

Vidal has consistently been linked with moving to England at points over the last 12 months, with Manchester United at one point appearing on the verge of signing him.

The midfielder is currently competing in the Copa America for host nation Chile and has helped his country reach the final of the tournament.

His tournament has not been without controversy though after he crashed his Ferrari in Santiago and was summoned to court to face charges of drink driving.
