Chelsea have offered winger Juan Cuadrado to Barcelona, but the Catalans have rejected the chance to bid for the Colombian, according to Catalan daily Sport.

Cuadrado signed for the Blues in the winter transfer window from Fiorentina, in a deal that saw Mohamed Salah go the other way on loan.

Six months on, the Colombia international has failed to make his mark at Stamford Bridge and Blues’ boss Jose Mourinho is claimed to be eager to offload him and cut his losses.

Barcelona were linked with a move for the winger last summer as they sought to strengthen their side in anticipation of the eventual FIFA-imposed ban on transfers.

However, things have changed since then and Dani Alves has renewed his contract with the Blaugrana. They have also acquired Aleix Vidal, who is of a similar ilk to Cuadrado.

Through the course of his time at Stamford Bridge, Cuadrado has made 12 Premier League appearances and has registered a solitary assist.

He has also been linked with a move back to Serie A, with Inter Milan and Juventus reportedly interested in him.
