Celtic skipper Scott Brown is happy with the Hoops’ squad and is delighted with the acquisition of Dedryck Boyata from Manchester City this summer.

Boyata sealed a move to Celtic Park earlier this month and he will look to fill in the vacancy left by Jason Denayer, who moved back to the Etihad Stadium after a successful season-long loan deal.

Ronny Deila’s side will head into next season on the back of their twin triumphs of the Premiership and the League Cup.

And Brown is pleased with the strength of his side, adding that Boyata is a good addition to the squad and his acquisition will be good for the team.

“I think we’ve got a great squad and we’ve brought big Dedryck Boyata in as well and he’s looked really good in training today and it has definitely helped out squad”, the 30-year-old was quoted as saying by his club’s site.

Boyata joined the Citizens’ youth academy in 2006 and was promoted to the first team in 2009, but he failed to feature regularly in the senior side.

He will look to impress in his first season in Scottish football and help Celtic achieve their objectives.
